The Practice
Holistic Horizons Therapy is an insurance-based pediatric occupational therapy practice in New Jersey. We provide regulation-first, function-focused OT for children ages 3–14 who need support with regulation, sensory processing, motor skills, executive function, daily routines, and school participation.
Our Mission
Families often come to OT feeling overwhelmed, unsure what their child needs, or tired of being told to "just wait and see." Holistic Horizons was created to offer a clearer, more supportive path — one that helps families understand their child's needs and build skills that matter in everyday life.
Holistic Horizons Therapy was founded with a clear purpose: to make high-quality, regulation-first pediatric occupational therapy accessible to families through insurance — not just to those who can afford private-pay rates.
Our clinical approach is grounded in pediatric OT, sensory integration theory, polyvagal-informed practice, and executive function frameworks. We look at how a child's sensory processing, emotional regulation, motor skills, attention, environment, and routines work together — then build therapy goals that support real-life function.
We are committed to respectful, child-centered care that honors each child's individual profile, supports families with practical guidance, and measures progress by what matters most: how children participate in daily life.

Meet the OT
Daniel Dubinsky, OTR/L
Daniel Dubinsky, OTR/L is a licensed and registered occupational therapist and the founder of Holistic Horizons Therapy. He earned his Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and has built a clinical career spanning pediatric outpatient, school-based, early intervention, community, and acute rehabilitation settings.
Daniel has provided OT services across a wide range of environments — including Early Intervention home visits, school-based services from Pre-K through high school, virtual schools across states, school-based consultations and evaluations, community-based consulting, sub-acute rehabilitation, and acute hospital settings.
He also served as an adjunct occupational therapy professor at the University of the Sciences, teaching first-year graduate students, and has provided guest lectures for university programs and professional audiences.
Daniel was drawn to pediatric OT because he believes many children who struggle with behavior, attention, transitions, or independence are often misunderstood. Rather than viewing a child as "difficult," he looks at what may be happening underneath — regulation, sensory processing, motor planning, executive functioning, routines, and environmental demands. His approach is calm, structured, and respectful: he meets children where they are while helping them build the skills they need to participate more fully in daily life.
Families can expect therapy that is clinically grounded, practical, and focused on real-life function — not pressure, shame, or one-size-fits-all strategies. Daniel has also been featured in articles and blogs related to pediatric OT, child development, regulation, and family support, reflecting his commitment to helping parents better understand the connection between regulation, function, and independence.

Clinical Style
My approach is calm, practical, and deeply child-centered. I do not believe children make progress through pressure or shame. When a child is struggling with behavior, attention, transitions, or independence, I look at what may be happening underneath — regulation, sensory processing, motor planning, executive functioning, routines, and environmental demands.
Sessions are structured and supportive. I meet children where they are while helping them build the skills they need to participate more fully in daily life — at home, at school, and in the community. Families receive clear, practical guidance so that progress carries into everyday routines.
In the Community
Daniel's work and perspective have been featured in articles and blogs focused on pediatric occupational therapy, regulation, child development, and family support. Through these contributions, he aims to help families better understand children's needs and the role of OT in supporting everyday function, participation, and independence.
